We are in the dying stages of winter right now, and in Vancouver that means its raining/overcast every day. My 8 AM classmates may not believe me, but I too go through the struggle every morning of debating whether or not it is appropriate to go to school in a blanket burrito and slippers. Peering out my curtains everymorning to find the same old Vancouver rain is just about enough to have me fishing through the remains of lululemon leggings i set fire to circa 2010 at my parents house.
Luckily I ran into the Dish denim pop up shop here in Vancouver before any workout pants were removed from the trash. The rad team there let me test drive a pair of their Pebble Grey skinnies made with their new N2X material. Dish & DU/ER uses fabric that has comfort and stretch without sacrificing  the look of classic denim. They are also a Vancouver company so their lightweight fabric really was made for our west coat weather. I'm styling my Dish jeans here with a mix of neutrals and my vintage bandana.

Collaborating with the lovely Pierce is always a pleasure! Here I am wearing my absolute favourite Free People dress. The colour scheme and fit of this piece is why I love it so much. The triangle cut out in the neckline gives the opportunity to feature necklaces in a different way. As you can see, I went with a simple black hat and boots but this dress could be worn with jeans and so many other different ways.

These are our outfits of choice for our New Years Eve spent at a casual house party last night. We had a fun time celebrating a great year and the short time we have together before Sarah flys back to California. 2014 held a lot of milestones for the both of us, from dance championships and graduation to the beginning of our post secondary lives, and of course the birth of The Borrowers. So cheers to all the good times of 2014 and all that 2015 will bring!

SARAH | HEAT STROKE

This is one of my more boho looks. I am absolutely inlove with this sheer white kimono that I got on sale from Urban Outfitters. It is such a beautiful piece and it completely makes this outfit. This dress from Free People really caught my eye for the discreet detailing on the bottom of the dress. I found pairing this outfit with high socks gave the outfit more of an edgy vibe to contrast the otherwise bohemian look. These sunglasses are my favourite pair I own, I got them in France last summer. You will see me wear them a lot because they really do go with everything and add to the overall look.
