Sarah and I met on the first day of kindergarten and have been best friends ever since. When we weren't hanging out at school or at dance, we were spending our afternoons reading fashion blogs till our eyes bled and playing dress up in Sarah's closet. We've encouraged each other into every horrible fashion choice in the book but have never let each other get away with an ill-suited boyfriend. Despite ours styles being almost identical, our personalities are quite the opposite. Sarah says things like "face your feelings" while I tend toward the tough love approach.
We started The Borrowers circa 2014 and we've managed to keep it up despite our laziness and never taking ourselves too seriously.We found comfort in tartan pants, leather jackets, big hats, and spiky jewels. Fashion can be frivolous, but for us it comes down to art and individuality. Through 15 years of friendship we've encouraged each other to stay true to who we are, and clothes have been our common ground for self expression. We hope this blog inspires you to try something new the way many fashion bloggers have inspired us.
